TALK Buzz Aldrin OK all other events this week can take a backseat. Florence and the Machine? Pschaw. The Virgins? Lightweights – this man walked on the moon my friends – on the moon. There’s lots to love about the 2009 London Literature Festival – Sarah Waters, Jake Arnott, Samuel Beckett monologues – but nothing quite thrills like the chance to see a real-life astronaut up close. Buzz Aldrin is in conversation with Andrew Smith whose Moondust book is perhaps the best look at the extraordinary lives led by those few men who have walked on the moon. He knows his stuff so hopefully there will be a few unheard stories for the moon landing junkies in the audience. / Rob Valid |
